Rather intriguing series of photos of Hitler’s bunker taken at the end of WWII by a Time Life photographer. This is the couch Hitler and Eva Braun killed themselves, with most likely Hitler’s bloodstains on the far arm and War Correspondents examining it under candlelight.

When I was a kid my grandpa brought a toy version of the Ark II back for me from japan. You could program it and it would follow a path. It was totally awesome but there was something wrong with it and it went back.

I used to go totally batshit gaga over images like this when i was a kid. Every time we went to the library I’d get more books containing the most awesomest sci-fi artwork. The thing that made me most excited was the sense of scale; somehow I could feel just how big these things were, maybe because of the tiny little windows. Yeah, the windows made it seem real. As a result I still have a huge fondness for this kind of sci-fi art.
